Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
On the want list of virtually every advanced blue and white collector who has yet to secure an example, and much more desirable than the later specimens issued in the 1950s, this attractive framed Toronto Maple Leafs puzzle issued in 1931-32 by General Motors includes the original pictorial box featuring captain Hap Day on the cover. Accompanying the puzzle, we have a collection of 35 “Hockey Talks” Leafs records with sleeves from 1966-67, constituting a complete set of 10, a partial set missing just Ron Ellis (9/10) and an additional 16 doubles, along with Leafs media guides from 1963-64 and 1965-66. First, the 8” x 10” puzzle is complete and housed in a slightly larger metal frame, with light wear visible, while the original 7” x 7” box has been shrink-wrapped for display, with moderate wear visible along with a former owners name written on the cover and box bottom. The Hockey Talks records appear in good condition with expected wear to the sleeves, with the additional 16 to include Armstrong (3), Bower, Keon (3), Mahovlich, Horton (2), Shack (2), Pulford, Selby and Imlach (2).
