Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

Led on the score sheet by Andy Bathgate’s impressive 84 points and supported by the 22 wins registered by Gump Worsley, the New York Rangers would finish 4th at the conclusion of the 1961-62 NHL regular season, and would fall short in the playoffs, losing in the semifinals to a strong Maple Leafs squad in six games. This offered collection of 16 vintage blank-backed black and white postcards has each been signed by a prominent member of the 1961-62 New York Rangers. At the standard 3 ½” x 5 ½” and highlighted by an example signed by legendary deceased defenceman Doug Harvey, postcards signed by fellow Hall of Fame members include Ratelle, Howell, Worsley and Andy Bathgate, along with Hadfield, Cahan, Gendron, Hampson, Ingarfield, Henry, Langlois, Prentice, Spencer, Wilson and Andy Hebenton.
The majority of the signatures have been scripted in ballpoint, with many adding “Best Wishes” or a personalization. The Harvey signature displays beautifully with no issues, with just light corner and edge wear to the postcard itself and no creases. The remainder of the signatures all present wonderfully with no concerns, with just light overall corner and edge wear to the postcards themselves.
