Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
A prerequisite to an important Bobby Orr or rookie card collection is Topps' famous card number 35 from its 1966-67 issue, with this example perfect for those not wanting to spend a significant amount to take it off their wantlist. The reverse, with glue stains and paper from once having been pasted, is admittedly not so pleasant to look at but the front displays decently. A horizontal crease through Bobby's forehead just above his eyebrows is to note, with another inverted semi-circular crease dipping under his right ear and rising up through his nose. Visible corner and edge wear is not drastic and the centering is rather pleasing, although bits of yellow letters can be detected along the top edge. Like folks like to say these days, "it is what it is." And that's an authentic, not-trimmed rookie card of hockey's greatest defenceman.
We do not detect any scratches in the PSA holder.
