Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Heavy mesh uniform worn by winger Ron Friest in 1979-80 while with the Eastern Hockey League's Baltimore Clippers. The storied Clippers franchise would see one more EHL season before folding in 1981. Tagged in the collar by Stall & Dean in size 52 with washing instructions label and the "9" year tag below. Screened lettering crosses the toned yellow plate above two-tone tackle-twill number 11 on the back. The jersey displays great game wear with over a dozen stitched team repairs, a few smaller holes and some good stick marks and slashes. Also included is an unusually-hefty Northland Custom Pro stick game-used by Kent Douglas, signed in bold red and black marker down its length by 20 members of the 1971-72 AHL Baltimore Clippers.
