Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
The Boston Red Sox were able to more than just overcome the curse of The Bambino during the first decade of the 21st century, winning World Series championships in both 2004 and 2007. We have a pair of Red Sox World Series non-gold rings representing each championship, with both of the specimens sealed in lucite. The 2004 ring has a Red Sox logo over the tableau along with “World Champions”, with “#1 Fan” over one shank, and a Red Sox logo with “Greatest Comeback in History 2004” over the other. The 2007 ring has a pair of full colour Red Sox over the tableau along with “7th World Championship” over one shank, and a Red Sox logo with “Boston” and “2007” over the other. Both rings are sealed in 2” square lucite holders with a single shaved corner, with both displaying well, with handling wear to the lucite including marks and scratches. Both also have MLB holograms affixed to their original boxes.
