Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Remembered for his agitating but effective play, Sean Avery spent parts of 11 seasons in the world’s greatest league, appearing for the Rangers, Red Wings, Stars and Kings. This Tinseltown jersey was worn by the North York native in 2006-07, his final season with the club. Size tagging sits along the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the bottom hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with an attractive and textured Kings team crest, the V-neck garment has been accented with layered sleeve and verso numbers, with alternate Kings crests over each shoulder. The jersey also features a custom-shortened fight strap. Game-wear consists of just a few faint burns over each sleeve, along with a torn collar that has been repaired, no doubt from a tussle with an especially strong opponent. The team patch numbered “0744” sits on the inside hem, with a matching LOA from the Kings to accompany.
