O Canada! Golden memories of Vancouver are conjured up by this original Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch, which is dated and hand-signed by a Bombardier quality control inspector. This engineering marvel carried the Olympic Flame on a 45,000-kilometre journey across Canada as 12,000 torchbearers shared its spirit with 1,037 communities from coast to coast to coast. “With Glowing Hearts” reads the inscription on the aluminum frame that houses the torch’s sophisticated technology within its fiberglass shell, which displays the colorful Vancouver 2010 Olympic logo. Augmenting this incredible and historic piece, we have signatures from the complete roster for the Canadian Men’s National Team, and they are absolutely stunning examples executed in black marker. Included are Crosby, Luongo, Toews, Iginla, Heatley, Getzlaf, Weber and others.
Along with the aforementioned signers, the full roster list of 23 signatures includes, Bergeron, Marleau, Morrow, Nash, Perry, Richards, Staal, Thornton, Boyle, Doughty, Keith, Niedermayer, Pronger, Seabrook, Brodeur and Marc-Andre Feury. With no signs of having been lit, the torch remains in gorgeous condition with no issues to note other than expecting handling wear that might include the odd little scratch or mark. The original carrying sleeve is also included.
The design specifics for the torch are as follows: * Designer/Manufacturer: Bombardier/VANOC * Length: 37-1/8 in., 94.5 cm * Mass (with fuel): 3.5 lb/1.6 kg * Construction: aluminum frame, SMC fiberglass shell * Burner system: stainless steel, copper and brass * Fuel: Propane and isobutane blend, with other unspecified hydrocarbons.
