Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Prestigious NHL trophy was made up for Swedish forward Per-Olov Brasar as a member of the 1981-82 Campbell Conference champion Canucks. Despite a losing record during the regular season, the Canucks caught fire in the playoffs, winning 11 of their first 13 games to become the first playoff team to win the Campbell Bowl with a 4-1 conference final series win over Chicago. "Per-Olov Brasar, Vancouver Canucks, 1981-82" is engraved on one side of the silver plate cup, whose lid has been glued in place, with "Clarence S. Campbell Bowl, 1968" on the opposite side. A letter of provenance signed by a former Canucks employee states that Brasar never collected nor responded to attempts to get him this trophy.
