Well remembered as an integral component of the Punch Line, Elmer Lach was also the NHL’s all-time leading scorer when he retired after 13 plus seasons in 1954. This stick has been attributed to the Hall of Fame center. Produced by Jimmy NcNiece, this “Super Special” stick divulges its hand-made construction along with “Pattern Made by Ernie Evernden Extra Special” screened on both sides of the blade. “16” appears on the upper shaft, the number Lach wore throughout his tenure with the Habs. There is also a patent date on the lower shaft just beneath the intact striping accent. The Kenny Grant/Johnny Bennett store supplier stamp sits on the topside of the shaft, while the remnants of clear tape remains on the blade that once covered a signature that is no longer legible. The stick has some light wear associated with its age, but remains in very good condition perfect for display.
