Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016

Four-time CFL All-Star Korey Banks wore this Ottawa Renegades jersey during his first of two seasons in the nation’s capital, the 2004 campaign after coming over in a trade from the Edmonton Eskimos. Tagged in the collar as “03-44” (year and size), and a handwritten “24”, Banks’ jersey number, this gamer was recycled for Banks for the 2004 season and shows evidence of a former nameplate. A “Molson Canadian Light” patch is sewn on the left breast and the jersey shows no visible signs of a “92nd Grey Cup” patch on the right breast that newer 2004 jerseys had. Only a small amount of marks are noticeable on the shoulder and back numbers, and all in all, is a great gamer from the Renegades, a team founded in 2002 and which operated until 2006.
