Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016

Jacques Villeneuve wore this custom-made Sparco fire suit during the 2002 F1 Championship Season. The suit is tagged in the front zipper by the factory "JV-031-02-D". This coding breaks down to mean it was the 31st suit made for Villeneuve during the 2002 season and it is the 4th different version of the 2002 suit. It is also tagged in the back of the collar with the same information as well as the date of manufacturing "25-06-2002" or June 26, 2002. The suit was made to be worn in races were tobacco advertising is not allowed. Instead of the traditional Lucky Strike logo Sparco has used a BAR team logo on the front and back and used "Look Alike" on the collar and legs. The suit has "Villeneuve" and the Canadian flag sewn into the belt as well as all other sponsor embroidered onto the suit. Please note that the helmet, gloves and boots shown in the pictures are for display purposes only and are not included. This item is from Jacques Villeneuve's personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
