Treasure trove of original 1981 Canada Cup and late 1970s and early 1980s NHL-Soviet Union Super Series score sheets and official game reports are originally from the Ron Andrews collection. These amazing and historic documents from the landmark international tournament and games between NHL teams and Soviet and Czechoslovakian teams are featured in these folders kept by Andrews, the league’s longtime statistician. There are 14 sets of four original handwritten reports each from 1981 Canada Cup games, including both semi-finals and the final between Canada and the U.S.S.R. Another 20 reports are from Super Series games, including five from the legendary 1975-76 series.
Manila legal-size folder titled “Soviet Hockey Background Information” contains numerous Canada Cup 1981 original NHL score sheets, official reports of match, Penalty Records, and Official Statistics of Game.
Included are reports with original ballpoint handwriting and signatures of referees and official scorers from Canada-Sweden at Winnipeg on Aug. 27, USA-Czechoslovakia at Winnipeg on Aug. 29, Czechoslovakia-USSR at Winnipeg on Sept. 1, Sweden-USSR at Winnipeg on Sept. 3, Canada-Czechoslovakia at Winnipeg on Sept. 5, Finland-Sweden at Winnipeg on Sept. 5, Canada-Sweden at Montreal on Sept. 7, Czechoslovakia-USA at Montreal on Sept. 7, Finland-USA at Montreal on Sept. 9, Canada-USSR at Montreal on Sept. 9, Sweden-Czechoslovakia at Ottawa on Sept. 9, Czechoslovakia-USSR at Ottawa on Sept. 11, Canada-USA at Montreal on Sept. 11, Canada-USSR at Montreal on Sept. 13.
Also included are various photocopies of score sheets, stats sheets and reports from Canada Cup 1981 games, and a letter to NHL statistician Ron Andrews dated September 8, 1981 on Edmonton Oilers letterhead signed by an Oilers PR assistant.

Photocopy of legal-sized (14”) scoresheet of December 31, 1975 game between Red Army and Montreal Canadiens at Montreal Forum;
Originals of NHL official Score Sheet, Official Report of Match, Penalty Record and Official Statistics of Game of five (5) Super Series 76 games between Soviet and NHL teams at Madison Square Garden (Red Army-Rangers), Boston Garden (Red Army-Bruins), Chicago Stadium (Wings-Black Hawks), Pittsburgh Civic Arena (Wings-Penguins), Nassau Veterans Coliseum (Wings-Islanders)
Originals of NHL official Score Sheet, Official Report of Match, Penalty Record and Official Statistics of Game of fifteen (15) games between Soviet, Czech and NHL teams during the late-1970s and 1980 at Atlanta Flames, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Red Wings (2), Minnesota North Stars (2), Montreal Canadiens, N.Y. Islanders (2), Philadelphia Flyers, St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks and Winnipeg Jets. Plus originals of all but NHL Official Report of Match (photocopy) from Moscow Dynamo game at Washington Capitals on Dec. 8, 1980. Also included are photocopies of Central Red Army and Moscow Dynamo Russian-language statistics sheets, various photocopies of Super Series game statistics sheets and reports, a telegram-style printout from the NHL Office Mtl to PR directors dated December 4th 1979 with updates about Russian team rosters for Super Series 80, and three (3) stats sheets from Soviet Wings at AHL Nova Scotia Voyageurs on Jan. 10, 1979.

Rounding out the collection is a brown duotang binder with “Ron Andrews” labeled on the upper right corner of the front cover with a “Soviet Club Tour, Dynamo and Central Red Army, December 1979 – January 1980” label, which contains color-coded plastic tabs labeled “schedule, liaison personel, hotels, bus transport, roster and personnel, Soviet officials, Dynamo itinerary and Red Army itinerary” filled with contact information, listings, agendas, itineraries and schedules. Loose sheets in the binder include NHL office printouts of Super Series 80 game results.
