Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Currently a scout for the Anaheim Ducks, Jim Pappin played in parts of 14 NHL seasons, with a Stanley Cup won while with Toronto in 1967. Originally from Jim Pappin’s personal collection, this Clarence Campbell Bowl was presented to Pappin for the Blacks Hawks status as Western Division Champions in 1971-72. Standing 11” in height, a miniature plated Campbell trophy sits atop a finished 3” hexagonal wooden base. With chased features on the lid and bottom, engraved text proclaims “Chicago Black Hawk 1971-72 James Pappin”, while the back has “Clarence S. Campbell Bowl 1968”. The trophy remains in very good condition with heavy tarnishing, along with unobtrusive wear to the base. We should also note that the once removable lid has been glued shut.
