Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
The lovers of vintage game-worn equipment will be all over this lot. We have a pair of pants worn in an all-star game by Ed Westfall in the early-1970s, gloves worn by Blaine Stoughton while with Hartford, Boston Bruins pants from the late-1950s, a helmet worn by Dave Ellet, a Salt Lake Golden Eagles equipment bag from the early-1970s and pants along with a pair of socks worn by John French while with the San Diego Mariners. The all-star pants have Cosby tagging along with “Westfall” handwritten on the inner padding, and they remain in very good condition showing nice use. The Bruin’s pants are currently void of their interior padding, with no maker’s marks or tagging present, with numerous team repairs on both the front and back sections. The Stoughton Cooper gloves, Ellet CCM helmet and John French Mariners socks and pants all show heavy use, with considerable wear, marks and abrasions present. The Golden Eagles bag also shows heavy use, with an intact Western Airlines tag attached, showing the bag going from Denver to Phoenix.
