Sensational stash of old Western Hockey League game pucks are CCM affairs which feature luscious all-orange logos, with “OFFICIAL” appearing in big block letters on the side of each. Overall, condition is impressive, with very few chips or heavily worn logos. A near mint Denver Invaders example is near the top of list in terms of both condition and scarcity. Teams also present are the Calgary Stampeders, Los Angeles Blades, Portland Buckaroos, San Francisco Seals, Spokane Flyers, Victoria Cougars and Victoria Maple Leafs, with a few autographs in the logo of the latter, the only decipherable one being that of goaltender Al Millar, helping to date it to circa-1965. Puck authority Darren Becker pegs these types of CCM “C2” pucks to the 1956 to 1965 time frame. A few teams are represented more than once, with two Edmonton Flyers pucks exhibiting different shades of orange logos, while the logos of three Seattle Totems pucks are all slightly different. There are two similar Spokane Comets biscuits, with two color shades noticed in three Vancouver Canucks examples. All-in-all, a wonderful and enticing WHL vintage game puck bonanza!
