Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Originally relocated to Winnipeg to appease a rabid fan base upon losing the Jets, the Manitoba Moose split play between the IHL and AHL from 1996-2011. This pair of jerseys were worn by Ken Wregget and Jason Cipolla in the early-2000s. Home and away examples, the Wregget jersey (2000-01) has SP Pro size tagging in collar, along with embroidered IHL and SP logos on the back bottom hem. Styled with an attractive Moose team crest, there is also a 1996-2001 “5th Season” patch over the left breast. With just light game-use present which includes some pilling around the left elbow, Wregget has signed the back “1” in black marker, and the signature presents well. The Cipolla jersey (2001-02) also sports SP Pro size tagging in collar, along with AHL and SP logos over the back bottom hem. There are also crossed American/Canadian flags over the left breast along with a Vancouver Canucks crest over the left shoulder. Heavy game-use is evident, with a number of black marks present on the lower front and on both sleeves, as well as board burns around the right elbow. There is also a large stick mark that runs from the left side of the reverse near the middle, across the side seam and continues on front.
