Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
A product of Boston College, Doug Brown spent over a dozen full seasons in the NHL including his last seven with Detroit. This Red Wings “2nd Set” jersey was worn by Brown in 1999-00. CCM and size tagging appears in the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM patches on the back bottom hem. Styled with attractive tackle twill numbers and letters along with a classic winged wheel team crest, the back name has been placed directly onto the jersey. The team stamp resides on the inside hem, while the NHL 2000 patch sits over the right breast. Heavy game-wear is evident, with a number of dark marks on the lower front and sleeves, along with board burns and small resulting holes. There are also 5 team repairs present, with 3 on the left sleeve and a pair on the right.
