Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Karel Soudek spent his career playing in the Czech and Austrian leagues, with a season also spent in Germany. This Czechoslovakia National Team jersey was most likely worn by Soudek at the 1980-81 European Junior Championship, in which he played in 5 games. With no tagging present, the tie-neck jersey is constructed of cotton with wool striping bands, and it’s been styled with a silk-like team crest and cloth/canvas drop-shadow numbers. The thick string attached to the wool collar also remains intact. With a few scattered dark marks, there is some fading to the material that’s taken place in spots, along with some red colour that over time has bled somewhat into the garments identifiers and striping bands.
