Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
In this lot we have jersey's for both the Cornwall, and later Newmarket Royals. The Cornwall Royals jersey was worn by Vern Ray in the late-1980s, while the Newmarket Royals example was worn by Grant Marshall in 1992-93. Both garments have Maska Ultrafil tagging in the collar, with CCM and CHL patches on the back bottom hem. Featuring different team crests, both have dual-colour tackle twill numbers including the nameplate for the Newmarket example, with the Cornwall jersey having white screened-on letters. Both garments also show evidence of a former nameplate, with the Newmarket jersey having the Memorial Cup 75th anniversary patch over the right breast. The Cornwall jersey shows nice game-wear with a few marks present, along with 3 team repairs, with 2 on the left sleeve and a single example on the right. The Newmarket example exhibits marks on the front, crest and sleeves, along with a small 1” tear near the left shoulder.
