Sensational miniature Stanley Cup trophy presented to Yvan Cournoyer commemorates the Montreal Canadiens' 1967-68 championship. Jean Beliveau led the Habs with 68 points as Montreal finished atop the new East Division in the first year of expansion. The Canadiens roared through the playoffs, sweeping Boston in four straight before disposing of Chicago in five to reach the final for the fourth year in a row. Led by Cournoyer's two goals and two assists, the Habs swept St. Louis in four as J.C. Tremblay delivered the clinching goal in a 3-2 win at the Forum to seal coach Toe Blake's record eighth and final Stanley Cup. The names of Blake, Beliveau and fellow Hall-of-Famers Hartland Molson and Pollock are engraved along with president David Molson beneath "Club de Hockey Canadien Inc., 1967/68 Season" on the front of the barrel. Henri Richard, Cournoyer, Laperriere, Lemaire, Worsley, Savard and Duff are the other members of the Hall whose names are engraved in two columns along with the likes of Provost, Ferguson, Vachon and Rousseau. The trophy stands just under 13" tall and exhibits spots of tarnishing on various areas but overall has been preserved in excellent condition. Cournoyer has signed the green felt bottom underneath the base. This must-have display piece for any Canadiens fan comes along with an LOA signed by Yvan Cournoyer.
