Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016

Splendid white knit Canadiens home jersey was worn by Hall of Fame left winger Steve Shutt, always an offensive threat who gave the Habs nine straight 30-plus goal seasons. “Shutty” was equally prolific in the post-season, scoring 50 goals and 98 points in 99 playoff games. With a half-detached Maska Ultrafil tag in the collar and "Maska" embroidered into the rear hem, the circa 1981-83 jersey has a garter-style fight strap and shows significant game wear. Eleven small circular team repairs are on the front, to go along with some 20 black stick marks. Red board paint and 24 repairs on the sleeves can be added to the 10 repairs on the back. The equipment man also did some stitching to the frayed blue tackle twill "22"s on the back. A washing instructions tag in the collar is completely washed out but the jersey measures out to size 48. Another nice one for Habs/jersey collectors to contemplate. Comes with LOA.
