"The Trail of the Stanley Cup" is a definite prerequisite to any important hockey library. Author Charles Coleman's three-volume history of hockey and Lord Stanley's trophy from 1893 to 1967 is contained within these three books which were obviously well cared for by their original owner. The first and third volumes are leather-bound, while the second volume, from 1927-1946, is a regular hard copy. Only 1,000 copies of this special edition of the first two books were presented to important hockey figures; the third was limited to 1,500 books. The books in this full set are individually numbered: Volume 1 is stamped no. "354", with added presentation paper to “Tim Horgan”affixed, Vol. 2 is unnumbered and Vol. 3 is stamped no. "132”, and it comes with its original black casing with a gold-colored image of the original Stanley Cup printed on one side. All three volumes are complete and in excellent condition.
