Colorful cards from the Topps Company’s inaugural hockey card set both chronologically and in terms of importance/value here, with a group of fourteen highlighted by an EX Gump Worsley card. In VG+ or VG-EX are #s 9, 16, 21, 22, 30, 34, 35-McKenney RC, 40, 46 and 50, with 4, 33 and 45 at VG. Five 1966-67 Topps cards include 29-Ratelle and the last card; 132-Rousseau AS in decent VG+ condition, while a group of 23 from ’67-68 feature a Derek Sanderson rookie (F-G), a Glen Sather RC (VG) and cards of Hall-of-Famers Giacomin, Pilote and Howell, with the small stack averaging VG. Bigger stacks are from ’69-70 (O-Pee-Chee), with 58 cards highlighted by those of HOFers P. Esposito All-Star, Mahovlich, Ratelle, Gilbert and Giacomin and mostly in the VG to VG-EX range. Completing the card segment are 53, also from ’69- 70, but with back damage from having once been pasted. Lower grade examples of Tony Esposito RC, Orr, Howe, Hull, P. Esposito, Savard RC, Sawchuk, Plante, miscellaneous all-star cards, the Gordie Howe Mr. Hockey card and others still carry some weight/value. Also included are eight metal hockey coins from ’62-63, (Plante, Harvey, Mahovlich x 2), in various less-than-perfect condition, five 1964 baseball coins and a ’61-62 Shirriff hockey coin of Dickie Moore (VG).
