Rough and tough Andre Roy began his big league career with Boston (1996) and then Ottawa, and later it would be Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, and finally Calgary where he ended his 515 regular season game career. From Roy’s time with either the Lightning, Pens, or Flames in the 2000s is this collection of game-used equipment, beginning with his game-used TPS stick with “Roy” graphics on the upper shaft and his original white tape on the blade and blue on the knob. Marks line this gamer, and a couple of rips show in the blade tape. Just above the heel, Roy has signed his name in clear and bold silver marker. Next up is Roy’s game-worn “Rbk” skates, marked on the bottom of each boot as (size) “L – 8 ¾” and “R – 9”. In great condition with game marks and scuffing, Roy has signed both blade holders in clear and bold blue marker. Next, a pair of black and white Koho game-worn gloves in great condition with normal palm marks but no holes, signed on the short cuff of each by Roy in clear silver marker. Roy has also signed the thumbs of a pair of game-worn Easton gloves, using white marker, with “Roy” stitched into the short cuff of each, and with several small holes in the palm of the right glove. And finally, a pair of Roy’s black nylon CCM pants that show marks scattered about, but come without padding. Cool collection of big league game-worn equipment.
