Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Parkhurst’s 1958-59 hockey card effort again starred the Canadiens and Maple Leafs, with Maurice Richard leading the star power, his card #38 here an attractive VG+ example with two small light creases and a gum/wax stain on the back. Approximately half of the lot is crease free and in VG+ or VG-EX condition, with VG and lower cards completing and the average in the VG realm. Among the keys, 2-H. Richard, 34-Beliveau and 49-Harvey are VG, with 42-Horton at G and 33-Mahovlich P-F due to a heavy horizontal crease and glue staining on the reverse. Similar glue staining affects 46-Bower, otherwise crease-free and VG-EX. Just a couple of low grade fillers are 14-Stewart and 32-Bonin, with the cards not present being #s 5, 13, 15, 22-Plante, 28-Geoffrion, 29, 35 and 39. Overall, an acceptable ensemble with just a little time/effort required to complete.
