Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
One of the most desirable hockey rookie cards of the modern era is offered here, with the image of a teenage Bobby Orr always a treat to marvel at. This example of card #35 in Topps’ 1966-67 issue is in the VG neighborhood, with not perfect but rather appealing centering, corner/edge wear and two small, very light and not easily detected creases. One is limited to the brown border just to the right of the bottom right corner of the TV set-like screen, while the other, also a horizontal affair, is a light half-inch wrinkle in the top border. Also to note is a vertical scratch, visible just to the right of Bobby’s neck and rising up from the bottom border. An attractive alternative to a high grade Orr RC and still a prize possession it will be.
