Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Red Wings great Alex Delvecchio was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1977 along with the late Tim Horton. As per tradition, a duplicate crest, identical to the one worn on the breast of the induction jacket, is framed and presented to each inductee. Offered here is the framed presentation crest with the embroidered emblem of the Hockey Hall of Fame, as presented to Delvecchio. A plate at the bottom lists his name and the year of induction. The wood frame measures about 7" square and has a few gouges but is very nicely preserved overall, with the T. Eaton Co label and “Nov 18 1976” date stamp on the paper backing. From Alex Delvecchio’s personal collection, it comes with his signed LOA.
