Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
A fine game-issued 1970s Sher-Wood stick from the Philadelphia Flyers’ Bernie Parent, undeniably the greatest goaltender in the world for a two-year stretch in that decade that saw him lead the league in regular season and playoff wins, shutouts and GAA while backstopping the Flyers to two Stanley Cups and becoming a two-time Conn Smythe Trophy winner along the way,. “Parent” is stamped on the upper shaft of this Sher-Wood that we’re selling as a game-issued, only because the tape job on the knob differs from usual Parent-taped sticks from that era, but could very well be a game-used as well. Bernie has signed the paddle in clear black marker, puck marks are scattered from the blade upwards, and a small chip is out of the edge of the paddle, overall making it a great stick prepared for or possibly game-used from the legendary netminder inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1984.
