First competing internationally at the Antwerp Games in 1920, the Swedish national hockey team has won 11 World Championships, and are the only country to win an Olympic gold medal and World Championship in the same calendar year. This Team Sweden jersey was worn with the Junior National Team in 1960-61 by Ove Brandt, according to our consignor. Sporting a Liga label affixed to the collar, the vintage heavy cotton jersey measures-out to roughly a size 46. Sporting the Tres Kronor (Three Crowns) over the chest in blue vinyl, “10” appears over the verso in matching material. A tie-neck collar has also been utilized, along with additional grommets over each side of the waist (one side appears to have the original blue tie string). Exhibiting a few marks over the front and sleeves, there is also some staining over the front band, with the jersey in very good condition overall.
