Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
A traditional event occurring annually is the honoring of the late great Jackie Robinson who made his MLB debut on April 15th, 1947, with various teams now playing on that date all wearing Robinson’s number 42 on their jerseys. We have Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista’s game-issued “Robinson” jersey when the Jays hosted the White Sox on April 15, 2013 and won by Toronto 4-3, Tagged in the collar as “19 2013” (Baustista’s number 19 and year), and on the hem with a “MLB Authentics” patch and size “46” flap, this jersey, with a hologram affixed to the number “4”, is in pristine condition. This Bautista/Jays jersey is game-issued as Bautista didn’t play on this occasion because of a sore back.
