The jubilation Jacques Lemaire felt after winning a third straight Stanley Cup is represented in this stunning 14-karat gold and diamond ring. Celebrating the 1977-78 Montreal Canadiens' championship, this substantial bauble weighs about 40 grams. Lemaire, who scored the Stanley Cup winner in 1977, won the seventh of his eight Stanley Cups as the Habs hoisted the Cup in Boston for a second straight year. Larry Robinson delivered the Cup winner and won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP while Guy Lafleur continued his dominant ways, reaching the 60-goal mark and winning the Art Ross, Hart and Lester Pearson trophies. Ken Dryden shared the Vezina with Bunny Larocque, Serge Savard took the Bill Masterton and Bob Gainey was awarded the first Selke Trophy as the league's best defensive forward. This spectacular ring displays a dazzling tableau with a huge diamond in a diamond-shaped gold setting in the middle encircled by 24 smaller diamonds floating in a sea of white gold. "N.H.L. Champions 1978" surrounds it all on the bezel. "Coupe Stanley Cup" banner on the left shank with Club de Hockey Canadien at the bottom and each of the team's 21 Cup championship years surrounds a likeness of Lord Stanley's chalice. "Lemaire" is spelled out above the the CH logo on the right shank with "Champions Est-East 59-10-11" below it reflecting Montreal's incredible regular season mark. "Jostens 14K" is stamped inside the size 9 band which displays Lemaire’s engraved facsimile signature. Justifiably proud wear shows in some nicks to the outer edges of the bezel and various light scratches around the ring and a small nick to the top edge of the band just below the left shank on this otherwise wonderfully preserved gem. Comes with Jacques Lemaire’s signed letter of authenticity.
