Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
It was the early-1960s when Robin Hood Oats would hand out MVP trophies to kids playing hockey, and it was always a big deal to receive one. But Butch Goring would collect not 1 but 4 in those days, which is proof enough that the kid from Manitoba was destined to go far. These great little trophies stand just over 6" high and remain in great condition aside from some marks on the plaque and one statue that swivels slightly. Also included is a goal puck scored by a teenage Goring in 1967, written on the attached tape as "1st goal against Check (sic) 67 team 67". We also have a set of Goring cufflinks and tie-clip from Hockey Canada from circa late-1960s. Comes with a Butch Goring LOA.
