This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Seriously cool 7-piece lot includes a full Yankee Stadium ticket from the World Featherweight Championship bout between champ Willie Pep and challenger Sandy Saddler on September 8, 1950, with the ticket in beautiful condition with sharp edges and no creases, measuring 2 1/2” x 7”. Joining this gem are two 3” x 5” signed cuts, with Willie Pep signing in clear and bold black marker on a pure white cut, and Sandy Saddler signing in clear, blue ballpoint pen on a beige cut, with both in excellent condition. Rounding out the Pep-Saddler part of the lot is a reproduced b&W vintage photo of the two squaring off, signed at the bottom in clear black marker by Pep. Next is a full 2” x 6” ticket from the April 10, 1953 Rocky Marciano vs. Jersey Joe Walcott World Heavyweight Championship fight from Chicago Stadium. This ticket is also in excellent condition with slightly rounded corners and three small areas of paper damage on the reverse. All in all, wonderfully preserved. And finally, from the June 20, 1980 Sugar Ray Leonard-Roberto Duran WBC Welterweight Championship bout at Montreal's Olympic Stadium is a full ticket measuring 3” x 6 1/2” in splendid condition with only slightly dinged corners to note, and comes with a colored 8” x 10” photo of the two fighters landing punches.
