The man who accomplished, among other great achievements, the incredible 56-game hitting streak in 1941, Joltin’ Joe DiMaggio, has signed in beautiful blue ink on this unused and immaculate Rawlings “Official Ball, American League” with a president Bobby Brown facsimile signature. Magical player with a poetic name, DiMaggio was certainly a legendary figure, and so great that during the baseball centennial year of 1969, was voted baseball’s greatest living player. He would end his career (which began in 1936), in 1951, complete with a .325 all-time batting average, 2214 hits, 361 home runs, 13 All-Star appearances, 9-times World Series champ, inducted into the HOF in 1955, his number "5" jersey retired by the Yankees, and to cap it all off, was married to Marilyn Monroe for a brief time! This signed ball comes with 2 LOAs, 1 from PSA/DNA, signed by a representative of the company, and the other from Yankee Clipper Enterprise lawyers on behalf of Joe’s estate, signed by an attorney and which has also been notarized. The letter is affixed with a “Yankee Clipper Enterprises” sticker, as is the ball. The great Joe DiMaggio would pass away on March 8, 1999 at the age of 84.
