Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Guy Lafleur's Montreal Canadiens game-issued Sher-Wood stick on the block here, stamped on the upper shaft as "Lafleur 10" and on the lower shaft as "8 Fev. 1985", showing that the stick was produced after Le Demon Blond had retired as he played his final game with the Habs on November 26, 1984 and wouldn't suit up again (with the Rangers) for several more years. Near the date stamp is a handwritten "L225" in pencil, while on the blade, Lafleur has signed his name in black marker that shows some roughness, not from the marker but from signing on the blade's fiberglass. Overall the signature is nice and clear and the coup de grace to a great game-issued Lafleur stick.
