Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Interesting hoard of mostly Montreal Canadiens cards has a few standouts, with a good-looking Guy Lafleur rookie card among them. Guy’s 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee rookie is crease-free and appears at least NM, although it measures up just a tad short compared with other ’71-72s. Carrying weight in our eyes are three attractive ’63-64 Parkhurst rookie cards which all feature blue ballpoint signatures. Included are the RCs of Red Berenson (#85), 86-Jacques Laperriere and 92-John Ferguson, with the only crease spotted being a small corner crease in the latter. Most notable among other rookie cards are ’57-58 #7-Andre Pronovost (VG), ’67-68 Jacques Lemaire (Poor, with staple holes), ’73-74 OPC Larry Robinson (VG), ’74-75 OPC Bob Gainey (EX) and ’74-75 OPC Steve Shutt (VG). A Dickie Moore autograph graces the front of his ’55-56 Parkie (F-G), while an EX-MT Charlie Hodge card from ’58-59 stands out among the older cards. The rest is a grab bag from various years that will likely yield a few pleasant surprises and features the likes of Geoffrion, JC Tremblay, Cournoyer, Lapointe and non-Canadiens Dionne, Gretzky, Yzerman and Robitaille.
