The “Western Wizard” George Hay, signed this 3” x 5” plain index card with blue ballpoint pen, with his signature clear and clean on the spotless card. Hay, after joining the Chicago Black Hawks when the Portland Rosebuds morphed into the Windy City franchise, scored the Hawks’ first-ever goal on November 17, 1926. A year later he was traded to the Detroit Cougars which became the Falcons and ultimately the Red Wings, with a total of six seasons spent in Detroit for the man ultimately inducted into the HOF in 1958. He would pass away in 1975. The beautifully-signed card also includes a recently-printed 8 ½” x 10 ½” photo of Hay in action with the Cougars, plus a 2 ½” x 3 ½” HOF card, both in excellent condition, and comes with a Classic LOA.
