Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Superb AHL treasure was originally presented to forward Camille Henry after the former NHL rookie-of-the-year helped lead the Providence Reds to both the regular season and playoff championships in 1955-56. Henry, with 50 goals in 59 games and another 10 in nine post-season tilts, along with team scoring leader Zellio Toppazzini (113 points), Paul Larivée, Bruce Cline and Jim Bartlett supplied most of the offence while the legendary Johnny Bower guarded the Reds’ goal. The team’s Rhode Island Reds logo is applied to a red stone here, with “American Hockey League Champions” encircling them. The year and inverted crossed hockey sticks are on the shanks while “Balfour 10K” is stamped on the interior of the band. Size is 10 and the condition excellent. Comes with an LOA from Camille Henry's family. Like we said, superb!
