Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
The late-1940s Toronto Maple Leafs were something to behold, winning three straight Stanley Cups in '47, '48, and '49, plus a previous one in 1945 and another in 1951. Five Cups in 7 years, and there’s no doubt Leaf fans back then were in blue and white heaven. From those heady late-1940s is this awesome Leafs cardigan sweater, preserved in great condition with some age yellowing, a missing button on the front, a minor amount of small holes and material snags scattered about, and some slight fraying to the under layer of the vintage chenille crest sewn on the breast. All in all looking good, from the days of Apps, Kennedy, Barilko, Broda, and coach Hap Day. Imagine how you’ll feel wearing this the next time you’re at the ACC!
