Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Scarce and unique team photo montage depicts the 1918-19 Toronto Arenas, the defending Stanley Cup champions. Toronto claimed the first Cup contested by the newly formed NHL in the spring of 1918 when it defeated PCHA champions Vancouver in a five-game series. HOFers Jack Adams, Rusty Crawford, Harry Cameron, Hap Holmes and Reg Noble led the Arenas to the NHL’s first playoff title. Corb Denneny then delivered the first Cup-clinching goal in league history. Obtained from the family of Arenas defenseman Ken Randall, this fantastic 16" x 20" print has been well preserved overall with a few light stains on the left side and in the bottom left corner. This vintage studio photo montage displays to its original size despite being trimmed ever so slightly along the right edge where it was likely removed from a frame.
Randall is also pictured along with individual images of coach Dick Carroll, Alf Skinner, Harry Mummery and Harry Meeking as well as the O’Brien and Stanley Cups, manager Charles Querrie and trainer Frank Carroll.
