Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
On November 22, 2003 the Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens squared off in the NHL’s first outdoor game, held at Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium during -30 C (-22 F) temperatures. Before the main event, the MegaStars game was played, with former Oilers stars led by Wayne Gretzky. From that game comes a pair of custom made Nike V12 skates made in the same style as the ones Gretzky wore that day, with the unused limited-edition 5/99 signed in clear and beautiful silver marker on the left toe by Gretzky and with “99” graphics on the heel. The skates, with a WG Authentic COA, also includes a 6 ¼” x 7 ¼” plaque with the Heritage details and skate holders. Direct from Brett Hull, with an LOA signed by Brett.
