Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Truly special jersey worn by the great Brett Hull when he was still struggling to make his mark in the bigs. Offered is Brett's AHL Moncton Golden Flames game-worn jersey, worn after he had started the 1986-87 season with the parent Calgary Flames where he recorded 1 goal in 5 games and was promptly sent to Moncton for the remainder where he scored 50 goals, which tied an AHL record, and his 92 points was 3rd best in the league. With only a “100% Nylon” washing instructions tag hanging by a few threads in the collar, this game-worn jersey shows puckering on the team crest and on Brett's #9 on the back and sleeves, has a 2-lace penny fight strap inside, and plenty of game marks scattered about the sleeves, front, and back (including board burns and paint transfer). A few unrepaired holes on the back are also to note. All great evidence that Brett definitely got his nose dirty while lighting the lamp for the Golden Flames. A special game-worn jersey from a young star who would win the Dudley “Red” Garrett Memorial Award that season for league rookie of the year and named to the first all-star team. The beginning of a pro career that ended with induction into the HOF in 2009. Comes with a Brett Hull LOA.
