Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

Montreal Canadiens greats Elmer Lach, Doug Harvey, Bernie “Boom Boom” Geoffrion and Bob Gainey are all among the elite group of Habs who had their jersey numbers retired by the team. All four are represented in this magnificent grouping of four limited edition 26 1/2" x 22 1/2" lithographs signed in pencil by artist Michel Lapensee. Lach’s number 16 banner is among the images of the slick playmaking center surrounding his portrait on his print with the “2/100” limited edition notation in the bottom left corner. Seven-time Norris Trophy winner Harvey is pictured wearing the captain’s C in his big portrait with his number 2 banner to the right on his “51/100” litho. The Canadiens’ and NHL’s second 50-goal scorer, the Boomer is fittingly pictured with his arm around the first, Maurice “Rocket” Richard, in one of the images surrounding his main portrait in his #5 alternate captain’s jersey on his “52/100” print. Gainey has the captain’s C he wore on his number 23 jersey when he won his sixth and final Stanley Cup with the Habs in 1986 on his portrait on his print with the “6/100” limited edition notation.
