Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
The shoe fits the man, and in this case, the shoe belonged to legendary Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino and crafted to protect his aggravated Achilles injury he was nursing at the time. This size 14 Nike Zoom Air beauty was worn at Lambeau Field in September of 1997 when Marino and his Dolphins clashed with the Packers, and was presented to one of Marino's friends. Comes photo-matched, includes three separate LOAs, and is tastefully set in a Dolphins display case to complete the package. The Nike tagging inside the tongue states the code, serial number, size 14, and Made in Beaverton U.S.A. Shoe comes photo-matched, showing Marino in action with the chalk mark on the orange Nike swoosh and to the particular fold marks in the swoosh above. Included are 3 LOAs, including a PSA/DNA for Marino's signature, which is found in nice black sharpie at the top of the boot. Comes tastefully displayed in a Dolphins' clear case measuring 15 x 10 x 12. An incredible gamer from one of the greatest ever.
