Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
What a fantastic piece from the racing world this is. Canadian race star Patrick Carpentier's Bell helmet worn by him in the circa 2001 CART (Championship Auto Racing Teams) FedEx Championship Series season while racing for the Players Forsythe Racing team. It was a season when he obtained his first CART victory at the Michigan International Speedway and this blue, purple, white, and gold beauty comes equipped with a microphone, attached cords on the side, with a sensational design created and painted by Flying Colors, whose logo appears on the front of the helmet. The design also includes Carpentier's name on both sides and a wonderful image of a castle at the back. Several paint chips and marks line the outer forehead, while the inner foam lining and strap are in fine shape except for one hole and a slight material tear. Such a stunning and creative helmet, worn by a Canadian racing star. Comes with two photos and a few Getty images printed on paper showing Carpentier wearing this beautiful helmet.
