Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

Direct from the "Sid the Kid" and Frameworth comes a sensational game-used Reebok stick wielded by none other than the great Sidney Crosby, who used it in the November 30th, 2009 game against the Rangers in which he scored 2 goals and added an assist. Featuring original black tape on the blade and white knob tape, this Crosby gamer shows scuffs and marks, with the top of the blade having a small chunk out of it, possibly from an errant skate blade. "S. Crosby 2" is screened on the upper shaft, and handwritten on the white knob tape is "87". Partway down the shaft is a serial number sticker, while just below is an applied sticker detailing the night's events - "11/30/09 AT NY RANGERS (5-2) WIN 2 GOALS - 1 ASSIST". A Frameworth hologram is on the blade of this important gamer. With LOA. Captain Crosby opened the scoring for the Penguins in the second period of this Nov. 30, 2009 game against the Rangers with a beautiful backhand from the slot that went over the shoulder of the New York goaltender. He would then add another goal and an assist for a three-point night. Crosby reached a career high with 51 goals that season, earning him the Maurice Richard Trophy for league's top scorer. He also won the Messier Award for exemplary leadership in sport.
