Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Cool Canadian junior hockey relics are a 1970s Wexford Raiders game-worn jersey and a 1980s Raiders team jacket. Wexford played in the Ontario Junior A Hockey League throughout the 1970s and well into the 1980s. Canada’s hockey culture is front and center in this pair of less-than-perfect pieces from the Ontario junior hockey team, including a green, white and yellow tie-neck gamer with “Wexford” stitched across the back in washed out white and yellow double twill. Torn at the the collar, with loads of holes throughout, particularly on the front. The green fabric jacket with yellow sleeves displays a chenille Wexford Toronto Hockey Club crest sewn on the left breast. A number “1” patch with crossed hokcey sticks is sewn on the right sleeve. Manufacturer’s tagging in the neck has some stitching that has let go. The bottom seam of the left sleeve has let go completely along its entire length and the right front pocket is torn at both ends.
