Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Before winger Tony Granato embarked on his career that saw him punch the clock for the NY Rangers, LA Kings, and San Jose Sharks, he played 21 games in the IHL for the Colorado Rangers, New York's farm team, and where the shifty fellow notched 21 goals and 13 assists. Offered is Granato's Colorado Rangers game-used jersey, just oozing with solid game wear. Sewn in the collar is a "Gerry Cosby" patch, with a handwritten "50" on the accompanying CCM tag below. A sizeable unrepaired hole is on the front breast, while another is on the back above Granato's name. A few tiny and unrepaired holes are found on the left sleeve and near the left cuff. Beautiful blue on red tackle twill numbers are sewn on, along with individual tackle twill letters that make up both the "Rangers" and "Granato" names. There is also evidence of a former nameplate sewn where Granato's individual lettering is placed. On the hem is sewn the "CCM" patch, and has the "Cosby" stamp. A nice gamer from a fine NHL player who once played for a short-lived franchise.
