Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

From the season after Mike McPhee and inseparable linemate Brian Skrudland helped the Canadiens to the team's 23rd Stanley Cup championship comes this well-worn home white knit Habs jersey. With a Maska Ultrafil tag in the collar which includes repair stitch jobs at the base and pilling around the back, the shirt features three pea-size team repairs on the front and four on the right sleeve, while two inch-long slices on the left were stitched-up. Good interior pilling (tail, elbows), a salted fight strap, numerous marks/stains and a pair of dime-size repairs and blue paint transfer on the back all add up to an attractive gamer worn by an appreciated warrior. McPhee was a three-time recipient of the Jacques Beauchamp Trophy as Montreal's unsung hero.
