Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Sensational black mesh Pittsburgh Penguins gamer was worn by NHL regular Ron Stackhouse circa 1981-82. Stackhouse played nine seasons in Pittsburgh and the 1981-82 campaign would be his last. This beauty features the team's familiar skating penguin crest screened directly onto the front in black, white and yellow vinyl. The #3 is heat-pressed in yellow and white vinyl on the back and both shoulders. Ron's surname is spelled out in individual yellow and white twill letters sewn onto a black mesh nameplate. Neck tagging is no longer present but the canvas fight strap is intact. The Sandow SK logo is screened in black vinyl onto the right rear hem. Moderate use here, with a handful of stick marks and board burns to go along with four stitched team repairs.
